They’re incredibly racist.

• One of the senior MEPs referred to places that we send foreign aid to as ‘bongo-bongo land’ 
  
• UKIP member Ken Chapman wrote that “islam is a cancer that needs eradicating”
  
• After comedian Lenny Henry said there should be more black and ethnic minority people in creative industries, UKIP candidate William Henwood said that Henry should move to a ‘black country’.

• Nigel Farage: if an employer wishes to “discriminate” by choosing a British-born person “they should be allowed to do so”
• UKIP would scrap much of the legislation designed to prevent racial discrimination in work, party leader Nigel Farage has said.

• ‘Immigrants must financially support themselves and their dependents for 5 years. This means private health insurance (except emergency medical care), private education and private housing – they should pay into the pot before they take out of it’ (from their own goddamn site, ugh)
• They “say no to political correctness” because it “stifles freedom of speech”.

They’re also incredibly sexist

• They want to scrap paid maternity leave, and think that women who take maternity leave are “worth less” than their male counterparts.
• UKIP member Godfrey Bloom branded female activists “sluts”.
  
• They want to scrap employment regulations against sexual harassment and safeguards for part time and irregular workers.
• They have voted against or simply not turned up to key votes in the European Parliament on ensuring equal pay, combating violence against women and ruling out FGM.
  
• UKIP’s only two female MEPs, Nikki Sinclaire and Marta Andreasen, have both left the party. Andreason said Farage “doesn’t try to involve intelligent professional women in positions of responsibility in the party. He thinks women should be in the kitchen or in the bedroom”. Nikki Sinclaire won an Employment Tribunal claim for sex discrimination against the party.
  
• Roger Helmer, UKIP MEP and candidate in the Newark by-election, said,“Rape is always wrong, but not always equally culpable.” (this link also shows his views on homosexuality, which are equally gross).

They are homophobic and transphobic:

• UKIP will withdraw from the jurisdiction of the European Court of Human Rights (WHY??? WHY WOULD YOU WANT THIS?)
  
• UKIP councillor David Silvester blamed the floods at the beginning of last year on gay marriage
  
• UKIP’s by-election candidate Roger Helmer has claimed that the NHS should fund ‘gay-cure’ therapy 
• UKIP councillor Iain McLaughlan claimed it was a “tragedy” that Section 28 was ever repealed because “children need to be protected from the promotion of homosexuality”
  
• When asked if gay people are welcome in UKIP, Farage replied with “well we’ve just had a gay person elected as one of our MEP’s…I think that answers the question” (hint: it doesn’t)
  
• UKIP councillor: “bisexuals and trans people are part time homosexuals” 
  
• Top Ukip official Matthew Richardson forced to apologise after ‘unforgivable’ anti-trans rant and ‘she-males’ slur (apparently this happened years ago but it still says a lot about the party members)
  

They are ableist:

• UKIP: Disability benefit claimants are “parasitic underclass of scroungers”
• “All disabled babies should be aborted” (admittedly this was said in 2012, but it says a lot about party members, doesn’t it?)

Other things:

• They want to legalise handguns (why? why??? this makes no sense? The UK has had hardly any gun crimes since our anti-gun legislation, why would you want to change that?!)

Tbh there’s probably a lot more but looking at all these things makes me feel really gross and I want to stop researching this racist piece of shit political party now. Feel free to add more if you find them!!
